½ C pear nectar (frosting) 1 ¾ C Champagne
½ gallon of your favorite champagne 2 sticks unsalted butter
½ C Vernors Ginger ale 4 C powdered sugar
(Garnish with your favorite herb sprig) ½ tsp salt
Edible gold glitter
(frost or pipe frosting on cupcakes and sprinkle with edible glitter)
Set the Scene/Dress the Table
Dimly light the room or completely dash the lights. Pull out your most beautiful ivory candles. (Not just two…)Drench the atmosphere in candlelight. (Use glass or crystal globes on candlesticks for reflection.
Forget the tablecloth! Use an ivory table runner with gold flecks sparkling throughout the fabric. Run it lengthwise across the table for a more grand look.
A gold accent bowl in the table center will be perfect. Put tiny battery operated mini lights in the bottom of the bowl. (Not to overpower but just to shimmer lightly.) Add pine fronds and cranberry sprigs to the bowl to add a bit more of holiday joy. Try clear, vases on either side of the bowl, with pine sprigs and magnolia blossoms, (if you can find some).
A lovely table needs to follow theme and by adding clear dinnerware set in gold charger plates lend to the ambience. An ivory napkin pinched with a clear napkin ring across each guest plate and gold ware on either side. Perfect!
Don’t forget the crystal champagne flutes crowning each table setting.
Bring on the Holiday Champagne and the champagne Cupcakes! Oh yes and the guests or make it about romance with just the two of you.
Happy Holidays!

"Cup" cakes?
Cupcakes have captivated the the world and our tastebuds. How can you enhance a chocolate cupcakes recipe? Cupcakes are so named because in early times, the ingredients were measured in cups instead of weighed. The first cupcakes were not necessarily small in size. The best way to make the best chocolate cupcake in the universe is to use the best chocolate you can get your hands on. It is only the best if it tantalizes and charges your tastebuds with delicious eloquence and melt in your mouth delight. Remember the chocolate square called "ice cubes"? It was a little but powerful morsel that literally melted in your mouth like an ice cube. That is the deliverance of delicacy that you want to provide to your guests. Once your palette says "ahhhh thats the best", is when will you know to use it in your recipe. Delicate, sumptuous and luscious, that is your goal for you and your guests.
